Service Center FAQs

1. Does your company have factory diagnostic machines that are able to reset my vehicles lights?

Yes, Our Company has factory diagnostic machines that are able to reset your service light, update your vehicles system and diagnose any other electrical problems your vehicles may have. Our diagnostic machines support Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Land Rover and other European vehicles.

2. Will the diagnostic fee be removed if I authorize the repair on my vehicles?

In some cases depending on the severity of the diagnostic performed on the vehicle, the diagnostic fee will be removed if and only if the repair is authorized.

3. How long does an A or B service take to complete?

An A or B service may vary from 3 to 4 hours due to the amount of parts and labor that has to be completed as well as giving your vehicle a complimentary car wash.

4. How long does it take for an oil service?

An oil service takes about 35 to 45 minutes for the technician to change the oil, reset the oil service light and perform a complimentary car wash.

5. Does your company take personal checks?

Unfortunately, our company does not take any personal checks. We do however take cash, any type of credit card from a range of Visa to Amex and in some cases where insurances are involved do we take two party checks. (State farm, Allstate, Progressive, etc.)

6. Does your company buy used part?

German Vehicles Service does not under any circumstances buy or sell used parts. We do not jeopardize high end European cars because of how delicate the parts can react to the performance of the vehicle and we offer warranty on our new parts.

7. I have a warranty on my vehicle can that be used towards my vehicles repair?

Yes, we do accept warranties that are purchase by customers. The process is very simple we will take your complaint than perform a diagnostic on the problem. We will than prepare an estimate and deal directly with the warranty. Once the warranty has been called we will notify you what was and wasn't covered. (However dealer extended warranties are only for dealer shops but we would be more than happy to check your vehicle's problem. In the event that your vehicle has a problem that is covered by a dealer warranty we would advise you to schedule an appointment with them.)

Collision Center FAQs


1. Is there warranty on my paint and collision work?

Yes, with all insurance work you will receive a lifetime warranty on workmanship and paint. You will also receive a lifetime warranty on paint and workmanship with all non-insurance jobs. Any problem with the paint or body work must be returned to our shop as soon as possible for the warranty to be in effect.

2. Is there a charge for an estimate on my vehicle's paint and collision repairs?

No, all body shop estimates are FREE. We will thoroughly inspect your vehicle and print you out a written estimate that is good for 15 days, in some cases parts may go up from one day to another. We use the estimating system that the insurances use, which is ADP Audatex Estimating System, for a full and precise estimate.

3. How long does it take for an estimate on my vehicle's paint and collision repairs?

On average an estimate may take 5-15 minutes, depending on the severity on the accident and the parts needed to complete the repair. The estimate will be written by one of our certified estimators to their highest ability.

4. Do your supply rental car and can they pick me up there at the shop?

Rental cars will only be supplied with insurance approved rentals or if otherwise discussed. We have Hertz and Enterprise that are located near our collision center. Both companies will pick you up at our shop the day you drop off the vehicle. When returning the vehicle all you have to do is drive it back to the rental agency and they will be in charge of driving you back to our collision center.

5. What insurances do you work with?

Our collision and service center works with all insurance companies, such as State Farm, All State, Geico, Progressive, Travelers, United, and much more. The repairs on your vehicle will be performed to the exact ways the insurance companies would like the repairs to be.

6. I spoke to my insurance company and they inform me that if I take my vehicle to another shop rather than a preferred direct shop my vehicle will not have warranty on the work, is this true?

No it's not; our shop is the one that will be giving you the warranty on the work. German Vehicles Service will give you a lifetime warranty on both our workmanship and paint. There is no need to contact you insurance company for the warranty, simply bring the vehicle by and our friendly staff will assist you.
