At GVS, we use the ADP / Audatex estimating system in which we are also certified. It allows us to work seamlessly with insurance companies in estimating the proper repairs for a given vehicle. This is supplemented with the use of the Mitchell 1 system, which is an estimating system that allows us to properly estimate mechanical repairs. Together it completes our full mechanical repair facility with laser alignment equipment and all electronic resetting and diagnostic equipment. This is a must in today’s computer oriented automobiles.
We perform frame or chassis straightening also known as unibody straightening. In a car that has been involved in an accident, this is the backbone of your car. It must be straight and true so that it can perform as safely as it was when it rolled out of the showroom floor. All body panels connect and align correctly in addition to keeping all the correct clearances between them and other body components. There are many bodyshops in South Florida, but only a handful meet insurance and factory vehicle standards.
Many shops claim to be “certified body/service shops”. At GVS, we are ASE “Master Certified” and iCar Certified in ALL eight (8) certifications for collision repair. These include preparation, paint, unibody straightening, welding (steel / aluminum), plastic repairs, electrical components, and air-bag components. We implement the use of a computerized measuring system that has all the factory specifications for every vehicle. This allows us to correctly realign specific points on a given vehicle. We also implement the use of a drive-on frame machine with the proper jigs for mounting the car to the frame. Mercedes-Benz and BMW have their proprietary unibody attachment points in which specialized jigs are needed. If the wrong jigs are used, then the repair will be incorrectly done.
In addition, we use Sherwin-Williams paints in all our projects, which comes with a Lifetime Warranty against fading and peeling. We are factory trained by Sherwin-Williams.
